Unhappy New Intercooler problems pls help

Just put in new greddy intercooler on my 89t2 and having horrable problems so far.....
Had Zero instructions how to hook it so I tryed to keep vac lines going to same areas...ie the two lines off the stock ic went to the greddy manifold and I kept the line to the bacv and opened the bov to the outside w/blocking the intake off. So I feel good about trying to keep it normal.

She will not idle now....at all, and is sensitive a irradic, has full on power under load. Engine light came on and off. surges lightly while holding steady.

-played w/ bacv screw, cleaned water tube...nothing
-played w/tps because I unsrewed bracket to install greddy manifold put back and tested @ .9k ish which seamed fine to me.
-wondering if I did something wrong or busted a wire or a vac tube........
any ideas pleeeeaaaaase. Thx

PS....I don't recommend all the trouble that fxxking ic has caused me to anyone----1000 bucks@rx7.com, 15 hours of head scratching to figure the greddy out w no instrustions and she WAS runing perfectly before.

OH...ps installed new ox sensor and noticed some cracked spots in wire covering past conector, wrapped
with electrical tape.....should this be a concern?

There's your answer right there. The stock BOV is a recirculating type and is open at idle. You now have a huge vac leak and will never get it to idle like that.

Either reroute it back into the turbo intake (good) or put a check valve onto the BOV's outlet (not so good).

If you're an attention seeker, spend a silly amount of money on a loud, shiney aftermarket BOV.

If you have an intercooler, more than likely you are runnin more boost than the stock one is good for anyways. Get the loud shiney one that gets the attention

I'm off to try fixing that stock bov, I can't thx u enough.

This is my first T2...had two NAs before....like driving an egg----a really FAST egg.

Intake, full exhaust, fcd, pullies, removable ac/ps/ap belts...now an intercooler...but no more boost yet.
Trying for the slow and safe steps first.

Hey by the way, If I do get a greddy type s...is it hard to tune w/o damage to engine?

I would like to know how the hell can a Blow Off valve damage a engine. Someone please Explain that to me ?
I have the Greedy Type S Blow Off valve, and it sounds awesome I think its one of the best blow off valves in the market, and im not saying that cause i have it on my T-II. ive seen the Type-S on alot of sweet rides as well.

Holy Shxt....u were dead on about stock bov, other thread must have been wrong about only running a bit rich if open air---it's also open vacuum , SHE'S ALIVE!!!!
To my understanding a bov is designed to protect the turbo from all that boost when u close the throtle...so I am guessing that if not done right u could hurt the turbo turbines....what do u guys think.
Ps nice shinny BOV would be cool less the extra greenbacks.
Any performance to be gained from this upgrade?

PM me and I'll e-mail you a copy of the Greddy instructions - I have the Japanese instructions that came with the IC. For no good reason, most of the IC's people have been getting have come with no instructions, or the instructions for the old kit.

I think they assume that you're gonna weld on a blow-off valve - part of the reason the kit is so cheap. It's a great kit, but some engineering is required. Hell, that's pretty much the case with any IC kit - the car wasn't designed to have an intercooler in the front, and some compromises have to be made.
