new Clutch is slipping, any way to adjust?

Well just as it says in the title, my clutch is slipping BAD. I just got the 10th AE running good enough to drive. However, in fourth and fifth gear when at around 40 or 50 i floor the gas and as soon as the turbo spools it revs up with out moving the speedo much at all. I recently bought the car, and i was told that it had a new 6 puck clutch in it, with no miles at all since it was changed with the motor. Does it just need to be broken in? Or can i adjust it at all to make it better? Thanks guys

how exactly should i go about that? Also, the motor now has 60 miles. Its an atkins motor with 3mm apex seals, and s5 rotors, how exactly should i go about breaking in the motor? Thanks for the prompt response!

Wrong.
Most puck clutch discs do not need any break-in.

You were either lied to, or the clutch was installed wrong.

I'll answer your question before moving on to the bad news. The hydraulic clutch system is non-adjustable (like caliper brakes it is self adjusting). The pedal is adjustable, so you can set pedal height and free-play. If the clutch is released completely already, this won't help.

The only way to really know what's going on is to open 'er up. Sorry. BTW, the stock clutch (if that is your case, and you can't be sure it isn't) is broken in by doing a few dozen starts in a normal fashion (which takes quite a bit of restraint).

If the engine only has 60 miles on it, it needs to be broken in. Not the clutch. My theory would be whom ever replaced the clutch if it is infact a new clutch didn't have the flywheel turned. Or they didn't replace the clutch...

could it be cause by not being properly blead? When i got the car the clutch pedal was all the way to the floor, so i know there was probably air in it. I tried to bleed it a little already and it felt a little better. Can anyone recommend a good clutch for my 10th AE with a 60-1 turbo on it? I plan on boosting about 12psi or so. Thanks

It having air in the lines would not cause it to slip. It would cause you pushing the pedal to do nothing. (going to the floor) Or Spongey feelings. Not being able to put it into gear or take it out of gear because the clutch is not engaging. Usually slippage is a bad clutch. No way around it. As far as it goes it is really a pretty simple thing to change a clutch as long as you have a nice hard surface, a good jack and some jack stands and perhaps a friend or two. Keep things really clean and get the flywheel turned.
