New clutch break in period?
Just wondering if theres a proper method or technique for a new clutch. I read somewhere that I should do light stop and go regular driving for about 200-300 miles before I do any racing or anything like that?

when I replaced mine, i didn't do any heavy driving for the first 400miles. i was supposed to do 500, but i just couldn't wait
anyways, the clutch is still just fine today with over 1000 miles on it (not counting the break-in period)
so I would say that 400 miles is plenty.

^????
lol, i would say 500 miles or less.
brake pads break in in about 5-50 miles (depending if you know what you are doing..). but i suppose you cant compare the two since its different stuff.

well it depends on the material u got on the disk..
most continous disks are good to start hard driving after 100-200 miles and launching after 300-350 if u have a puk clutch u should wait for 300 miles before hard driving and 500 miles before launching.. HOWEVER this is all speculation since I have known maybe guys who have installed a clutch on a 300hp car (performance clutch) and have started launching after 50-100 miles and they still have the same clutch doing the job after 10k etc and I am refering to a BRE datsun 240Z with a turbo swap that auto X all the time.. and he is using a centerforce!!! <------ aka known as JUNK

Meh, I put a mazda OEM clutch in my car, did a few launches and havent had any problems yet. Been to a couple of drift events and have launched hard countless times, no problems with it at all. Everyone I talk to says the same thing, hard launch or two and it will be fine.
