Need Some Diagnosis Help

Car: 1987 Rx-7 T2 133,XXX Miles
Supposedly 8,XXX on rebuild
I just bought the car about 2 weeks ago

So last night, I was driving on the freeway, doing about 4500 in 5th gear, just cruising (don't know how fast I was going because my speedo doesn't work). Got off on my exit, pushed the clutch in, revs went down and idled for a quick second at like 900 RPM, then the car just completely died. Since I live about 300 yards from the exit I just took, I tried to start it again, and it died. Then I started it and kinda floored it, at it would stay running as long as I didn't let it get into the lower RPM's. Now I go to try and start my car this morning (crossing fingers), and it cranks over, starts, then goes up to about 2000 RPM and then goes down in idle really quick and dies. I have good oil, coolant. I just need some help diagnosing this problem, anyone have any ideas?

vaccuum leak?

Check to make sure your TID (turbo Inlet Duct) is still attached/in one piece. Start checking all your vaccuum lines.

and 5th gear at 4500RPM should be about 95mph (give or take a couple of miles)

So now I definatly feel like an official dumb ***. I was just looking underneath my hood, saw that the damn charge piping fell off. Put it back on, car fired right up and runs like a champ. It definatly runs a lot better than it did before too, so I am thinking that the charge piping was slowly coming off and I probably had a little vaccum leak before hand. So sorry guys for the dumb *** useless thread. Thanks for the help though.

told ya it was the TID. Check to make sure it has no cracks and replace it with a Honda Prelude intake pipe.
