Need some brake help...

Alright so I figured I'de change the brake fluid and bleed them to firm up the pedal a bit using my handy dandy MityVac to vac bleed the brakes. I didn't pay attention like I should and sucked the master cylinder dry - not good. Bench bled the master but the pedal is still very soft so obviously there's still air in there. What I need to know is:

- when bench bleeding the master (in the car), do you loosen all lines at the same time or can you do one at a time? (I did one at a time)
- can air get stuck in the proportioning valve? If so how do you get it out?
- any other strange areas air can hide out? (no ABS on my car btw). Calipers?

TIA,

Henrik
