Need opinions on ideas
In the process of removing my rats nest I realized that my car had an intake manifold leak, so I have the car down to fix that problem, remove the remaining emissions and modify the TB. Thats the back story.
Now heres why I started this thread. I figured while my car was down I should go ahead and install some bigger injectors in the secondaries. I dont have much cash to play with so I needed a size that wouldnt require an aftermarket controller immediatly. Will 680s (I think thats the right size) need a controller?
Also I was gonna go ahead and install a Starion front mount. Not for any major gains, but to just go ahead put something bettter for an intercooler than the TMIC. I was thinking about wrapping the piping with fiberglass wrap and then aluminum tape around that. Anyone ever done that? I'm thinking it would help keep the intake temps cool.
And last but not least I was considering having the UIM powdercoated. For looks and a lil bit of function.
I just want your guys opinions or any pointers.

680s will be fine without a secondary fuel controller.
The front mount is a good idea, as is wrapping the piping to insulate. However, I can't imagine how you can afford a front mount, yet not a $250 S-AFC.
As for the powercoating, go for it.

I got the front mount in a trade for some AWD DSM parts I had left over from my old car. Sooo lucky me, I had no money spent in that deal. I work at a plumbing parts place so I can get the fiberglass wrap and aluminum tape for dang cheap too. The powdercoating is gonna cost me maybe 30 dollars.
The reason I have no cash though is cause I have to get car insurance and renew my tag.
