I have an 88 convertable and a restored 83, the first is retired the second is my primary ride. The 88 has been sitting for about 9 months in my driveway and recently a person inquired about if it was for sale. Here's my question, I know the least I would take but have no idea where to start the price. If I want something, I don't usually barter much, I can either afford it or I can't. I'm not wealthy by any means, just rotten at haggling( no poker face at all ).
Here's the info, the engine is tired, but everything else under the hood is 3 or 4 years old. The oil cooler and lines are new, radiator, starter and so forth. There is body damage to the drivers door and front fender, the rest of the body is undamaged and paint is good. the top is perfect, the part that drops needs to be replaced. Seats are bad the rest of interior is in very good condition. Transmission is less than 3 years old.
The low blue is $ 3450. with the Verts being rare around where I live, I thought it might be too high to start at 2000, any comments are welcome.
