MA Need Muffler Considering Autozone OER

So I need a muffler and saw the Auto zone OER muffler

http://www.autozone.com/autozone/cat...questid=175500

they fairly cheap and just what I need to get on the road, but I would like to know is has anyone ever bought these? What did they think of them ( I've searched and couldn't find anything so I'm pretty sure they're crap since no one mentions these)

I would rather go for the Bosal or racing beat but i don't have money for that yet I just need it finally get it on the road

Ummm I don't know on the quality of it and if it can withstand the heat from our cars. I would go stock just make sure there are no openings. Its the right back pressure and won't catch attention from the police for being loud.

I have a HKS 50mm cat-back exhaust I just pulled off my 89 vert due to swapping a TII setup in it. The exhaust has about 30K miles on it. It is in excellent condition. Asking 300.00 shipped.

Ya you can check the regional classified section of the forums for used mufflers. Racing Beat is hard to find but eventually you can find it.

As for the meltable mufflers, IIRC they start loud, melt then get crazy loud. It might be at least enough to get you on the road for a couple weeks or so, unless the cops in your area like to harass ricers.

Thanks for the offer everyone but apparently my parents gone off and order me some Bosal mufflers since they saw me looking at some

( Happy but i would have rather gotten it my self not big on the whole let mom and pops do it for ya I'll prob pay em back for it kind of person I am )

but hey i'm on the road now or until the parts come in on the 9th so can't complain to much

A lil question though i don't have a muffler gasket on one of the mufflers of my rx7(driverside) by ordering the Bosal muffler off auto zone would it come with it in the box or would i have to order that separate a friend told me they don't, but could make me some if i knew the dimensions. Sooo any body know the dimensions for a 88 vert muffler gasket

Usually they don't but the Bosal's might come with them. If you don't see them on the website, check some other places like Mazdatrix and Rockauto. Making a gasket won't last as long unless you make it out of metal.

Just order gaskets from dealer, Mazdatrix or Racing beat. In the mean time most auto parts stores have gaskets of all sizes for like $2 each. Or even a gasket you make yourself may last a few months.

I think I have some a nice aftermarket duel exhaust setup for a N/A. The diameter of the pipe is factory and it has some nice tips. In in RI, which should not be that far for you. PM me if you are interested. I'll let it go for $40.
