Need a little help with my blower motor (searched)
I replaced my blower motor a while back, so it's not that old. But it's not working. Here's what happened...
Autozone gave me a battery for a honda, which killed my alternator. Got another alternator from a buddy (only runs 12.5v) and took the battery to autozone and said "hey look what you did" and they gave me the right one, twice the size, like it should have been lol. This actually caused a lot more problems than just the alternator. Because when the alternator started going out, the volts were spiking all the way to the max. I'm thinking like 17.5v and it blew one of my headlights, my heater motor was up all the way and now it doesn't work. I replaced both relays and switched the fuse in the fuse box with the other one thats big and rectangle and no change in anything. Took the blower motor out and powered it up directly and it kickes on, really strong still. So the problem lays somewhere else, but I'm not sure where to look next... any ideas? I hope I didn't have too many run on sentances =)

Okay so I got a blower motor resistor from autozone. And this is what I got. Call me crazy, but I don't see where this goes on there. My FSM shows me it goes on the back of the assembly, so I took it our really quick and uh... yeah. PICS!

#1 yes i have had first hand experiance more then once with this.
#2 its not hard to miss where to install the blower motor resistor 2 screws on the blower motor assembly that are close togeather.......
#3 its been a while but that looks wrong to me i thought it had the male end of a connector off the back of it and the harness plugged into it....that i could be wrong about.

The only 2 screws I see are for what I thought were the transistor... Pic included lol maybe I take the transistor off and it's in there?
I took off this little black plug and the thing I got from the store plugged right into where it was, tested and didn't change anything. Still doesn't work. I hear my first relay click if that helps. Not the second one...
