TX Need help using Mityvac to bleed clutch

I just recently replaced the master clutch cylinder...i was gonna do the slave too but im getting ready to do the NA->Turbo swap and the turbo takes a different slave cylinder.

I have no pressure to the clutch pedal, obviously, cause i havent bled the system yet. I am a little confused as to how this hydraulics system works, so i need a little help.

I purchased a Mityvac vacuum pump, and im wondering how i can use this to bleed the clutch system. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Thanks and take care

It may be simpler just to ask someone to help you, and forgo using this mightyvac, or whatever it's called. Have you ever bled brakes or a clutch before? It's very easy once you know how. I think my mom helped me bleed my clutch last time I worked on it, and the longest part was waiting for her to find her shoes.

Steps in order:

- Get helper, have them sit in car

- Grab an 8mm wrench and some clear tubing that will tightly fit the nipple on the clutch slave. Long enough to drain into a bottle

- Grab bottle of fluid

- Open clutch master cap

- Have friend pump clutch

- Carefully open bleeder on clutch slave until fluid starts coming out.

- Have friend pump clutch repeatedly while you ensure reservoir does not empty. Once fluid runs clear, you're done.

- It's advised that you take a cotton swab or something similar and scrub out the inside of the reservoir as you're doing this. It'll dislodge built up crap on the inside of the reservoir.

OR
1. Empty reservoir of old fluid using turkey baster.
2. Fill with motul blue
3. Crack open bleeder valve and apply vacuum
4. Slurp slurp slurp
5. when only blue fluid comes through the line Close bleeder
6. Re-fill reservoir.
7. Great Success congratulations

I find by first flushing the lines with the old fluid, you use less of the new stuff. Also, I used the mitivac on it. It was more complicated and stupid than just doing it the old fashioned way.
