Need help moving car+engine
I am posting here because I can get more exposure, and hopefully someone can help me fast.
We have our T2 motor and tranny on a crate in our garage with our 7. It's not running. We were hoping to get the engine swap done a few weekends ago but life and moving got in the way. We need to have the car moved by Wednesday.
If there anyone that can help 2 girls move the engine pallet and car to a different location (Westminster->Lakewood) so we can clean the garage and not have our poor project car impounded or whatever. I don't really have much money but you'd have our thanks
If you cant help, does anyone know where I can get a truck that will fit the pallet (3x3 pallet? whatever is standard I can't remember the size) I have an engine hoist and rope and can probably sling it into a truck without the pallet jack, but as far as I know most tucks have the wheel wells that stick up in the bed and the pallet won't sit flat.
I'm more concerned with moving the engine as I can probably push the car into a parking spot and throw a car cover on it until we can get a tow, apartment complex might not notice.
If we had more time we would just finish the swap this week after work. Needless to day this is the worst move we have had. Oh and the garage we have the car in has a pretty narrow drive that is perpendicular to the garage which makes maneuvering trucks rather difficult.
I got the freight company to drop it off for me so I know trucks can get in the complex lol.

I have, they said that the drive shaft needs to be removed (what? why?) for the two trailer. And no it's not far about 20 miles across town. They might be the option I need. I also considered trying to get the car running tonight and then I just need to deal with moving the engine.
The cost of a uhaul + towing thingy, is 20+60+milage and time to disconnect drive shaft lol. I mean I was gonna be replacing that anyway.

Ah if the old engine were not in the car I'd drop the new one in a heart beat. I think we are attempting to put it back together as we found someone that can help us move the crate. Now just need to actually get it back together. We have all of this evening. I mean I only took out the oil cooler, radiator, and some belts, just enough so that I could take the engine out so maybe 5-hours of work? and we have 2 people. Also need to put the dash back in.
So wish me luck on getting the car started again. At the very least roll up the windows and sun roof

Managed to get help moving the engine. But now we have a car I couldn't get working so pushing it into a parking spot + car cover should hide it until my friend can help us tow it.
I found that towing is unbelievably expensive, well more than I want to pay. I can give my friend money for gas and call it a day.
