Need help.. may be buying a 88 GTU
Hi all, I just wanted to know if anyone had some info or input about the 1988 GTU. I just test drove one today and I really like it.. except for the fact that I don't know much about the rotary and the 5spd is a little iffy (has a lot of give). So please help! ![Smilie](https://www.rx7club.com/images/smilies/smile.gif)
1988 GTU 5spd w/ 130,000miles for $2800
if anyone is on AIM I'm on it right now so feel free to IM me... I really need help. It's either this or a 1990 miata.

I bought a 88 GXL for 2,000 two months ago. I don't know much about the engine either but just check for oil or any other fluid leak, a good oil pressure means a good running engine. Miy oil pressure runs at 60. When you drive it let go of the wheel and make sure it does not pull to one side. When you brake make sure it brakes in a straight line. Take a refrigitator magnet, the one that bends and place it on the doors, quater panels, hood to make sure there was no previous damage done to the body. If the magnet does not stay you know the car was fixed with carbon fiber. I bought mine with 173000.
