Need Help Fast!!!
Here is the scenario guys...im trying to pass aircare. i think i have a faulty ACV Becuase of my HIGH HC reading...So i did a check up on the ACV. I took out the silencer hose from the ACV and at idle (8000rpm) air is blowing through it quite heavily..is that normal? then i put everything back together and took the split pipe hose off and there was no air whatsoever coming out. So whats the problem in the ACV?
THANKS GUYS

High HC reading is usually indicative of running too rich.  How close were you to passing?  If it's WAY off, it's not the ACV.  If you want a hint with the ACV, flip the "valve" upside down - this causes the air to blow into the cat full-time.  Once you pass, flip it back or you'll burn the cat out.  I'm pretty sure it's not the ACV, but if this trick works, then your ACV is bad.
