Need help fast!

Car wont crank at all. It was slowly starting before but no it wont crank. Doesnt even turn over it just clicks. Volt gauge reads 12 volts. And all the electrical is light up really well so I dont think its the battery.

your starter is bad or its jamed in the flywheel or your batery is dead

just because the bat shows 12v the amps could be to low to start the car

do you have a bat charger? if you do put it on,let it charge for about 2 hours, then try to start the car. if it still clicks or does nothing the starter is bad

you can also use another bat from a different car that you know is good

Feel for any hot connections in the battery cables.
Hot = resistance = voltage drop to the starter.

well the battery is less than 8 months old and its an optima red top. I have never had any problems with those batteries. I tried jumping it and it has the same effect.

Turn the lights on and then try the starter. If lights go down to zero, battery has no juice. If lights stay bright, touble in starting circuit, eg starter, ignition, neutral switch. Wack the starter with a hammer and see if it makes any difference.
Really should put a meter on to see where fault lies.

Could also be:
-Carbon locked engine
-clucth safety switch
-key cylinder

My bet is between the starter, clutch switch or key cylinder; I would start troubleshooting at the starter.
