need help with electrical problem really appreciate

i got a harness...and i installed my head unit today...and it wasnt working because the Yellow wire (memory) is not working...so i did a dumb decission without thinking and put the power and memory wire together resulting in my clock not turning off...so i took it apart and i checked the fuse box all blown fuses were replaced but one thing was the previous owner had put some wrong fuses in the wrong place he had put higher numbers for the lower one but everything seems back to normal for the exception of my alarm not working...do you think its possible to wire a wire from the battery straight to the Yellow wire (memory) without any problems like draining all the power and not able to start? sorry this is a long one but im kind of a noob

yeah that will work just fine, however a little bit of a redneck solution. There IS a factory wire that is hot all the time in the dash, but if you cant find it, instead of running a crappy little wire to the battery, run the yellow wire to the fuse panel, then use one of those little add a circuit things, and put it into the highest amperage fuse slot you can find that is hot all the time. Ya dig?
