need help with downpipe

okay so i'm tryin to remove the stock pre-cat/downpipe. well the top left nut is a friggin bitch to get at. i don't have any air tools so i have to try and fit a wrench in there to get it off. i've tried a bunch of combinations of rachets and extensions and there just isn't room to turn in there. anyone know any tricks to getting that nut off?

A nut is a nut my friend. Do what you can to get it out no matter how long it takes. Also are you working from the hood ? Cause when I installed my new downpipe I was working from under the car. More simpler for me.

remove the intercooler and go at it from the top. you might have to get a small piece of pipe to lenghten your socket wrench. or atleast thats what i did

LoL, yea I know what you mean. Its been pretty easy except these nutts are so rusty...:-P Where is the last one for the manifold? Or better yet, what is the best way of taking off the last nut connecting the manifold and turbo- through top or bottom? Ive taken the bottom two and first top one all from the bottom so far.

i do most of my turbo from up top
the only ones i do from the bottom are the 2 bottom manifold nuts and the one DP nut on the bottom.
oh yea the only tools that i use to take the turbo off are wrences.. if that hepls at all.. wich nut are you having trouble finding..pics of the area??

EDit: oh yea i forgot to mention i take the manifold off with the turbo one shot.. i find that A LOT easier..

If you've got the car up in the air, put a jack under the trans and remove the crossmember, then lower the jack slightly to be able to get easier access to the nut.
It might help.

Buddy of mine picked up a rachet with an angle so that should solve the issue of getting the nut off. Let you know tomorrow
