Need Help with diagnosis
I just recently got an 88 TII for really cheap, cause it was running bad, 80k on the car, seems well maintained, it starts up and runs, but it has no power. If you give it gas it slowly reves up and when you try to drive it can barely pull its own weight. Felt like a piston engine thats not firing on all cylinders ( I'm new to rotaries) checked all plugs for spark, got spark, put new plugs in, old ones were very dirty, then ran it for awhile still bad, pulled the plugs and found that the rear rotor plugs were getting spark but there was no combustion, soooooo, i was gonna tear the intercooler and top manifold off and check the injectors, just wanted some insight on other things that could be awry and what else to look for. any and all help would be great

Pull the two lower sparkplugs. Pull the Two EGI fuses in the engine bay.
Have someone crank the engine while you put a finger over one empty sparkplug hole at a time. I suspect the front hole will blow your finger off the hole. I also bet the rear hole pressure won't be anywhere as strong as the front holes pressure.
I bet you can pony up about a grand and rebuild that engine yourself. Online manuals at http://www.iluvmyrx7.com
