Name that part....
Quick question:
There's a sensor on the radiator, driver's side at the bottom that has a busted connector. I wanna call it the water temp thermo sensor.
I don't have my manual handy (I'm at work). What the heck is that thing called in the book?
Thanx
JB

Water temperature switch. See page 4B-46 of the fsm. Called the same thing whether turbo or n/a. Used for emissions. Helps determine when the Relief solenoid is activated/deactivated. Not to be confused with the temp sw for the gauge on the dash. I think its only on 86-88 cars.

Water thermo sensor is on the back of the water pump. Its used for the ECU in computing fuel usage. On my 87 there is also a switch on top of the water filler neck thats used for the electric fan. I edited the first reply for a description of the one on the radiator. If you pull that ones plug(s) off, you will have your acv relieving overboard all the time instead of pumping air to the exaust ports at idle.
