na turbo
ok so wat do u suggest? i heard N/As hav higher comp. rotors than TIIs but N/As hav the 5th & 6th ports that the TIIs dont. Do the 5th & 6th ports matter when boosting?? Also i assume the lower comp. rotors are better than the high comp. rotors for boosting.
So anyway i was just wondering if its better to hav a na turbo w TII rotors or just 2 do a tII swap?

Yes, check these links:

Also look in the archives of teh 2nd gen section, there are a ton of posts covering this, and Im sure that they will more than answer your questions..

The short answer is:
The turbo exhaust manifold doesn't just bolt on to an n/a engine you need a custom spacer.
People jump on new members who post these questions, because they get asked a lot.

I've gotten my turbo'd N/A runnning per the guide aaron has setup... its pretty straight forward but you can do some things differently (I forget if he mentions in the writeup) like the oil return, etc etc

I think you have to keep the 5th and 6th ports open because there isnt room for the actuators (on s4 anyways). I just wired mine open, other suggestions are to remove the sleeves (is that what they're called?) completely.... I dunno bout the rotors though... other more acnowledgable forum members should be able to provide more insight, but in my opinion if I were to change the rotors and the engine is out might as well rebuild a s4 jspec and do a TII swap.. my 2 cents...

I'm definately not an expert on this but...
I think the 5&6 close at low rpm only to add backpressure and create torque. Adding a turbo increases back pressure, so you can probably just lock them open.
Anybody who knows better wanna chime in?

You are right about what you said when the 5 th and 6th port are closed at low rpm the engine has more torque, but when they get stuck close at high rpm the engine runs like crap, because it does not get enough air and your engine does not run properly. that is the reason the sleeve are often removed or wire open....i recomendremoving the sleeve and sacreficing that low end torque, beside it does not inprove by much
