I went 140 in 4th at 8100 rpms.....if anyone is doing faster than that with 4.1.00 gears then your tacks wrong... Im really fast for what I got. Bonez race pipe and filter. removed 6ports and sleeves. vdi closed. I think mazdaspeed 7 has us all beat...he did almost 150. Wiring the vdi open and duall exahust must make a big top end difference...Obviously if hes going that fast. Very impressive.

Tire size will have a pretty big effect on speed vs rpm. Even though tires of different brands are rated the same size, the diameter can vary as much as an inch. I know for a fact that my Nitto 460's have a diameter of 23.5", while my Cooper cobras have a diameter of just over 24". Both tires have the exact same rating, 205 60R15.

I have a very straight, very smooth road. Almost 5 miles, perfectly straight. And the road is the smoothest road Ive ever been on. Ive been more scared doing 90 on the interstate than I was doing 150 there. No dips, no bumps, absolutely perfect.

I had my 90' GXL up to what the speedometer said was 147 but I think it was off a bit probably was only doing 135. I did this while I was travlin across country I was in Arizona. The only mods I done was HKS intake and puched out the cat. I have since wrecked that car and am on the look out for a 89'-91' Turbo II.

When you say you this road do you mean you own it?

I've made it to 132 before letting off, but recently it seems my car can only make it to 120. I'm not sure quite why that is...maybe it has something to do with my coolant seals starting to go but I wouldn't think so.
