N3A7 ecu
Hey guys so i picked up a jdm s5 turboII engine with wiring harness and ecu, from what i have read the N3A7 is a 3rd gen computer? I have also read that its out of a 1992???? shouldnt my computer be an N370? Also forgot to mention, two of the connectors from the wiring harness plug into the computer.

it is for a series 6 FD3S, no it won't work in any second gen, yes you should have an N370 which are rather difficult to find. it could have been modified to work but the FD harness is completely different than the S5 harness connectors.
are you sure you didn't get an REW by mistake?

well they may have piggybacked the FD ecu but i really have no idea why they would bother unless they were trying to get it to mock up higher boost with some supplemental fuel modifications. the japanese tuners do some crazy **** sometimes..

unfortunately the FD ecu's are pretty much worthless and the N370 is quite sought after due to it being needed for an S5 TII swap as you're doing with a very limited amount sold in the US.
i wouldn't run the FD ECU even if it was repinned to work, as it is configured to run up to 10-12psi and has a different injector configuration than the stock S5, which may also be worth looking into if it has upgraded secondaries. TIIs have 550's X4, FD has 550X2 and 850X2.
you may be better just getting an aftermarket reprogrammable ECU.

more likely it just got mixed up at the junkyard.... N374 and N3A7 use a lot of the same letters/numbers.....
its possible to use the FD ecu on a 13B-T but its a LOT of work to hook it up, i've never seen it done with a STOCK FD ecu, its always a power FC, they love the power FC over there.
