N333 - N332 Ecu
Can they be used interchangeably?
My 88 T2 had a N333 ecu. It also had in big black magic marker "Tuned 1.0 Bar".
The car was sold to me as having an Rtek chip. Which I've found out isn't true.
I don't know what it means or what has been done to it. Which I found a couple other things that had supposedly been done that weren't. But that's another post....
So, I'm in the process of undoing/redoing some things in the car. I bought a stock ECU from a club member and when I got it, it was a N332. I put it in and the car started and ran fine. Does that mean they are interchangeable or should I get a N333 ECU?

i think the 88's were kinda half breeds to an extent for instance i am putting an 88 engine and harness in my 87 and there are some diferences in fuel injectors old style needed the resistor celenoid (sp) on the pass front fender well and most 88's did not i think they were in the process of constatant improvement and 88 was the guinea pig year for some new stuff before the S5 's arrived
