N/A waterpump in a T2?

Just added coolant to my newly rebuilt motor a lo and behold coolant begins to seep out of the weep hole on the underside of the water pump. I believe this means the pump is now out of commission. Thing is that i am having a hard time finding a replacement turbo pump, but there are plenty of n/a ones around, so is the n/a pump the same as a turbo pump?

they both bolt up the same - but the Turbo pump has slightly deeper impeller and deeper groove cut into the pump to flow more water..

I just had a TII pump on my NA-Turbo conversion and it started doing the same thing with the weep hole. so i slapped the NA one back on. i dont experience any overheating issues (might be because i have a powerful electric fan though too)

in short - the NA will work - don't know if YOU personally run into overheating issues though.

I'm not aware of any difference between the turbo an N/A pump impellars. Minor differences between series however.

The housings are where the main differences lie, but if you just switch the pump's and use the same series you'll be fine.
