i guess since i started driving motor bikes when i was 14 in italy i got that outta my system very early.. maybe also because by the time i was 15, 2 of my friends had already died in accidents, one hit a drunk driver that blew a red throwing him over his bike (wearing a helmet) died 2 days later in the hospital and the other had a few drinks and failed to negotiate a 90 degree turn on wet pavement going into the wall at 80 both were know well by everyone R.I.P

Don't get me wrong every now and then i try to give the person beside me a bit of a rush on the queens way or on a country road with a little spirited driveing

But usually when i kick it, it's on some open country road by myself with very little or sometimes 0 traffic for miles on end for my own little rush

anyways have fun and don't drink and drive or i'll bitch slap you so hard your in-laws will feel it

If you think teenagers don't have driving skills, some local scca drivers would absolutely amaze you. I invite everyone to go to the next local scca solo II competition.

Honestly a stock t2 isn't that fast at all. It might pull high 14's, but will probably be in the low 15's. I pulled a low 15 in my old gsr with a cai. New GT's are pulling low 14's stock while ls1's are pulling mid 13's....

Obviously a turbo 7 is better but it costs a little more to maintain.

for every one of those teens with good driving skills that are great solo II drivers there are 20 that are like this:
I'm new to the forum and I am looking for another RX-7. I Had a turbo II 2 years ago but totaled it within my first week.

I don't see why young people (specially teenagers) get so defensive when they are told they have more to learn. gracer, you shouldn't take it like a personal attack. I mean, there is a saying in spanish that says: "The Devil is devil because he's old, not because he's the devil" What I mean by that is that there is no substitute for experience.

kids like that should be slapped for ever dollar it would cost to fix the car!

**** smarten up you just got the car, learn how it behaves what it feels like... then maybe if you feel comfortable and not confident and wrekless give the car a little gas.

I hate it when i see kids pushing their car when they don't even know how to drive normally.. specially when the car can't handle what they want it to do.

I.E. this idiot (maybe 18 or so) accompanied by his friend and 2 girls pulls out of a parking space in front of a Timmy's doesn't bother to look what's behind his parents mini-van and sandwitches a shipping car between the back of the van and a wall..., me and my friends try to hold in our laughter as he him and his crew chief, looking all tough, get out to inspect what just happened to their Bush car, they then proceed to get back in the van and pull a mini-van fwd burnout, i don't know wether it was to impress us or the girls they were with, but it just causes the whole 10 of us to burst out in uncontrolable laughter and the girls coudn't have looked more embareassed... one things for sure no action for those 2 tonight.. and once his parents see the dent.. haha

i guess this furthur more proves my point that spoiled brats have no if little sense of resposability

TII's are faster. Get one of those, and if you are spoiled get an FD, those are even faster. Yeah were young, we drive fast, Live on the edge, you only live once, Drive it like you stole it. im not 25+ im -22 haha. Why cant we drive fast. driving like an old lady is boring. Why drive the TII so slow when it has so much power. Let her rip I say. and the old people drivin slower, watch out me and the boys are coming through. JUst because you like to drive a certain doenst mean we all have to. Thats why people skydive becuase they love the thrill, not intrested in anything else. hehe what i think anyway....
iv been known to be wrong...=)

I bought my rx7 turbo II one year ago broken but just got it fixed last month and it feels really good to know that you bought it and fixed it all on your on especially when i just turned 18. It really bugs me too see my friends all get new cars for their grad and see them whine on how they want it to look better and how this looks ugly. They would have probably appreciatted it more if they bought it themselves.

I also bought a old prelude last year to get me around untill i got the rx7 fixed and i'll have to admit that the turbo II scares me with all that power and i'll also admit that i do suck at driving and teens do need experience no matter what they think just like what ice mark said

Some under 20 year old, I'd say the N/A no questions asked. The Turbo has way too much power for the in-experinced driver
I wouldn't necessarily say that. It depends if the person realizes what kind of car they have. For instance, I think people who race autocross are some of the best drivers out there. My bro was 18 when he started racing his 240sx S14 and he's a great driver. But give some 16-18 year old 200+hp and no brain, yeah they're going to wrap it around a telephone poll. Or you can use your mind, tell yourself you have a car that can turn heads with speed and looks, and you won't **** you or the car up.
