N/A to TII swap using N/A harness.ECU question.

Ok.,.the question.,.(car is an s4 N/A going TII with the S4 NA harness, running a TII Engine..right now has a 333 for an ECU with the Stock resistor pack Hooked in)
N333 Ecu likes to see HI impedance..so Low impedance injectors and the Stock Resistor pack,.RIGHT?
Do BOTH of these TII ECU's like to see HI impedance.?
Now the other TII ECU is an N332,using HI injectors,I believe.
..,I would like to Keep the LOW impedance TII injectors in and run it with the Stock N/A Resistor pack(therefore keeping the Impedance HI)..but switch out from the 333 to the 332.
Can I do this?..Thanks guys..Dave/STYX.

It doesn't matter which ECU you use. They're all the same with regard to injector impedance (8-13 ohms total). Your N/A harness will determine what you're able to do (w/out splicing).

If the harness is '86- '87.5, you'll have the plug for the resistor pack, which will allow you to use low impedance injectors w/out splicing in resistors. This setup would be 2-3 ohms from the injectors & 6 ohms from the pack = 8-9 ohms total.

If the harness is '87.5- '88, there will be no plug for the resistor pack, so the easiest way would be to use high impedance injectors (12-13 ohms).

The difference in combined resistance doesn't really matter. 8-9 ohms was apparently enough to safeguard the circuit, so I'm not really sure why the high impedance setup bumped it up.

My own setup is four low imp. injectors on an '88 N/A harness, with four 6 ohm resistors wired in. Bottom line is that you either need low imp. + resistors, or high imp. alone. The ECU doesn't matter, and harnesses can be altered if necessary.

Just make sure you run the Low imp 550cc's and your fine.

Like rocket said it doesn't matter what ecu you run, but the harness. If you run a resistor box and want to keep it, fine low imp. (Which mean's switching out injectors you have in now, unless you have already done that...) Well what year motor do you have?

Great Info Guys!..excellent
ya,I got the 4 550 LO impedance on the resistor pack.
the engine is an s5 keg.but since I am S4 in Nature I am running the s4 electronics.
Mind you that is NOT much since I have Block off plates.
..I was fairly certian that the ECU's like to See HI,so If I went to HI impedance injectors,I had another Resistor pack that I could rig up to Bypass all the Resistors.(saving ONE good pack, instead of Killing the only one I had.).
2Slow..the Injectors ARE Lo..so with the pack they are HI.
Thanks alot Guys..Now I know which way is UP..(on this aspect of things..Now,someone help me get it to Run!!.lol!)
Cheers.Dave/STYX.
