N/A engine to Turbo

Hey guys I have an SE 90 rx7. I want to convert it to a 13b-t engine. How hard is the install, would my neighbor ( mechanic ) be able to install it easily. My engine is almost blown, do I need anything else ? I have the tranny also, so I will probably replace that too. Is the install hard or should I just put in a new n/a engine ? thanx for all the help

Searching will bring up some good info on this topic as it is discussed a lot.

The general agreement is usually that it would just be easier to outright buy a TII. The labor and cost of necessary parts and such will likely have you spending more money than you would if you were to just buy the TII.

I would just rebuild the n/a engine, and if you have the funds for it, buy a TII in addition to the SE.

unless you have a convertible.

then the TII swap is a genuine, supported upgrade by all.

(Since there are no turbo convertibles)

alright **** it, i'll buy a 13 b n/a motor, i'll spray to make up for the extra hp. Runnyin a 75 shot sounds about right, i was also thinkin these mods.

- exhaust
- intake
- 75 shot nos

its not a big list but i think it'll be alright to get me into the 14's ??? this will all be on a JDM used 13b motor or a 13b rebuilt motor. Anyone know what the top speed of the 88SE is for a 5spd ? thanx guys, i'm out, peace

you'll need a Tii tranny and rear end, or else that 75 shot will **** it up and blow up your tranny and rip off your rear end. I've seen people with only a 50 shot and some other mods rip off there rear end and blow up the clutch
