Yes the gearing in the manual tranny coupes are the same as the verts, however I am guessing that the gas mileage map is not. The verts skated the fine line of gas guzzler tax, because of the weight.

i think it's funny as hell how we nitpick the **** out of eachother on here.
oh btw, i forgot to ask, would it be worth it to switch out an s4 ecu to the s5 ecu into a 87 coupe?

If you are going that far as changing ECUs (which would require a full re-wire) then you are better to save your money and go with a new stand alone haltech or the like. Even the S5 ECU using a simple 8 bit processor was pretty outdated in its day (well alone by todays standards- almost 15 years later).
