![Question](https://www.rx7club.com/images/icons/icon5.gif)
So last week i lost my reverse and neutral on my Automatic transmission. I took this as my car saying "Give me 5-Speed now!", so i have a TII Transmission, Turbo Trans/NA Rear Driveshaft, and a Turbo Flywheel.
So my question is, without having prior knowledge of what year the car that the transmission came from, how do you tell what year (s4 or s5) the transmission is? or is there even a difference? I ask just to be sure im ordering the right parts
all help is appreciated

The 5th gear is shorter on the S4, that's it, unless the S5 happened to get better synchros or something, but I don't know if that's the case or not, just speculation.
