My TurboII finally tapped out. Rebuild time!!!

Hey everyone!

I haven't been on here in forever but I got some updates! My car has been running pretty well since I got it. Almost 3 full years of driving the **** out of it in the mountains and daily driving it. Compression tested it before Deal's Gap this year and she was @ 100-110 PSI on all 3 faces front and rear.

Well fast forward a couple of months past Deal's Gap... I was driving home from work and it was around 90* out and very muggy and humid out. I saw a WS-6 Trans-Am come up super fast behind me and he got up beside me. We exchanged a glance and he was smirking. So we decided to bump off from a 2nd gear roll. He honked it off and we went at it. Rode 2nd gear out to 7k and shifted into 3rd. Got to the top of 3rd and I felt her stumble and break up pretty bad.

Got off the freeway and she died. Tried to start it and she was just spinning and flooding out. Pulled the fuel pump relay and finally got her running and it sounded terrible. So limped it home and checked the compression.

Around 30-30-90 front and 20-20-100 rear w/ a universal compression tester and valve removed.

Well She still drives. lol. I daily drive it still. Just not much power and I wired in an interrupter switch to the fuel pump relay to help get it started when she floods out. Sounds ported too but I'm just going to drive it till she dies completely while I rebuild my new motor.

I bought another donor motor that has a "supposed" rebuild already but who knows the condition. So I'm going to either send it to get rebuild or do it myself. It's in pretty good looking condition. Bought a Koyo and nice e-fan setup w/ a shroud as well.

But as of right now this is what I'll be going for:

-Fresh rebuild (not sure on porting just yet) I want to but I daily drive it to work and back. Maybe a streetport?

-Rebuild TII tranny

-More fuel and maybe an Rtek 1.8 w/ 4 x 720cc just for break in and after on the stock S5 turbo and current mods until I can fund a different setup and Haltec.

-Supra pump

-Koyo radiator and e-fan setup w/ thermoswitch

-Wideband for sure!!!

I do plan on going with another turbo setup and Haltec but just want to break it in w/ the stock setup and an Rtek so that after break in I can drive it around and not worry about a tune and such while I'm saving up for all the parts and ****.

Anywho... Just thought I'd give an update. I'm pretty excited about the process and I've got a lot of work but will have a pretty nice place to do it and have friends that have been totally cool with lending a hand so far. I'll keep updating but would like to hear suggestions.

No... door to door until she stumbled. He was telling me about mods but I wasn't really caring at the time. I'm sure he would of had me regardless.

I'm pretty stock:

-GReddy fmic kit
-S5 turbo/manifold
-Rtek 1.5
-GReddy profec-B @ 10psi
-Racingbeat REVII turbo-back
-K&N filter
