Very nice find!

Think of all those negative replies as compliments; so many jealous RX-7 owners!

Of course its not perfect, it was $3,500. Your car isn't perfect, my car isn't perfect.

He could part that FC out and make 4 times what he payed for it, but that would be an insult to the gentleman that gave him such a good deal on it

I second the vote for "family" pics once you get it home!

Wow!! A lot of replies to this thread already. Where to start.....
As I see it this car has every bolt on you can think of possible. It was put together to drive on the street w/350ps. The car is for from perfect....hell, I wouldn't have bought it if it was perfect. I'm a car builder-driver, not just a driver. It looks as though I'm going to have start being a better driver bcuz my friend wants me to enter the circuit with him this Aug!! I'm not bragging...aah wait, maybe I am bcuz I'm here and I won't be forever so I might as well live it up right.
Wankel7: When I get the car to my house I will take some pics of the twin oil cooler setup, and the dryer hose thing is big here for cheap ducting to the turbo.
Everyone: Side port job is what we call street port, they call periohial(spelling?) a peddi port (said with a tounge roll)

RETed: The front wheels are Mazda Speed, but my friend hadn't even heard of the back wheels. Not sure what they are.

87' Trubo FC: Try pricing all that up and see if it's not a steal. Have you seen the price of an OS clutch or Mazda Speed LSD lately? With 25K on them.

Digi7tech: The ECU was programmed to run with this setup to be a DD. I don't plan on staying with it for long.

Everyone: The car runs smooth as silk but I will get video of it out when I get it titled and inspected.

Are you kidding me buddy? seriously?

If you can find that car for $3500, I'll PM you my phone number and bring you $4500 tomorrow for it. Whats the problem with this guy telling us about his steal of a deal? (because thats what it is, plain and simple) Jealous much?

I don't think this guy is saying he's better than us in any way, what makes you think that? because he got a deal on his FC? I think you have an inferiority complex my friend. This guy is just sharing with the forum this beautiful car, and also divulging the bucks he shelled (or didn't shell) out for it....whats the problem?

I remember you're thread a long time ago about your car. Its your very first car too, correct? Did anyone rag on you about never having to own K cars or other **** boxes before a turbo 7? wait, maybe they did, can't remember hehe.

Thanks for the props and helping out with the flammers.
I though the 4" exhaust was a little big but that was before he fired it up. I guess the engine bay used to be polished so it shouldnt take anything to get the shine back. The wheels are ok but I'm going to be changing them out.....I was thinking some Work meister's.....yummy!

That is my dream chassis...this makes me want to learn japanese and transfer to a CAT dealership in japan and live there!

You should work as the middle man for us and let us know about kick *** deals you can get on parts etc etc and let us know! hehe :-P

They're Potenza RE540S's

They do look like Advan's, though.

BTW, I have a friend named Sayaka (yes, I know it's a common name)...

I have somewhat of a crush on her (and all the other girls I know, of course ).

Gotta love the japs, spend $15k+ on a car and then let it sit there as a rubbish holder

Nice find, I see it as an excellent example of how the japanese will do anything to minipulate the engane management without actually going full aftermarket

I can't wait to start building her more though!!! It looks as though I am going be drifting this 7. My FC in the states was built for the strip so I guess I'll see how I hold up on the circuit :o
I have been to 10 countries and Japan is by far the best when it comes to cars, women, and food! Just a little FYI I highly recommend visting here.

Yep. Until recently Tokyo was the most expensive city to live in. It was just displaced by Moscow actually.

Tokyo is like any city. If you don't want to pay big cash to live there you can live 40mins outside for a decent price. It is expensive though. If you party in Roppongi (red light district of Tokyo) you can spend $300 a night easy. But you would have some of the most fun in your life. I used to go once a month when I was single. Drinks are 800Yen avrg.($6.50) Pluse 1,000Yen cover charge.

Actually, London, UK was 1st; Tokyo was 2nd.
Moscow just took over the top spot this year.

Not a Panspeed hood. It's a ERC bonnet.

They sell American cars here. They are all over but they are expensive.

You can find FD engines for cheap but it depends on mileage and stuff. I've seen rolling chassis FD's for $800. My buddy bought a FD shell for $100!

Most American cars that sell over here are the bigger models and old muscle cars. Lot of Caddys, Hummers, 64's, Lincoln's, Chevy vans.
Why shoot for an RE when you can get a Spirit-R FD? Worth way more!
