leave it red. It seems to have fresh red paint on it now. Use the 1k it cost to paint it blue and buy a ems system instead.

Pardon my ignorance, but I've seen a term bounced around quite a bit, & have NO clue what it is....

WTF does everyone mean, when they say.... vert. ConVERTible?

yes vert= convertible

As for the paint, red=tickets so I will most likely paint it. I know it looks really clean as it is, but I guess I want to paint it. I was going to do it myself (since I took a class in college for auto painting), so that will save me money.

Besides, I already have a Haltech E6k. What I really need is a turbo, manifold, and all that other good/expensive ****.

lead foot equals ticket.....not color. While red IS the color that the eye fixes on first just don't speed. keep it red.......or save for a bigger turbo..............your car looks fine save that cash for something cool for your car.........oainting it now is a waste of cash i think.

Do you really think painting it will be a waste of time? I know the paint is in pretty good shape, but I really dont like red on the rx-7 that much. I figured while the car isnt built yet, I could just strip it and paint it...save me the headache later.

I hear ya. I believe my N/A still has its factory paint, and its just beautiful, especially considering there's 179k miles on the car. when I bought the car I wanted to paint it arctic silver -- as nice as this red looks, well,.... red just isn't ME! but, I've since decided that the money spent on a paint job could get me some good mods, so I'll keep it for now.

but yeah, being tailed by every policeman who happens across my way = freakin annoying.
