Just as a final wrap up, sun was out, so thought I would take a couple pic's the the tails from a distance.
Personally_ I like it. The prior tails were all I saw. Now I see the wing a lot more, and when the gap is filled in for the plate w/ slightly tinted plexi over it, It will look even better. Overall, I just see the details of the back of the car more than before.
Oh yeah, and getting rid of the annoying primer spot would really help.

Final thoughts welcome:

Still not cleaned up yet: got some more glazing and polishing to do.
Only one screw holding each of them on right now.
And yes, I am going to do something about the gap between the bumper and the lights.

Distance shot:

Side shot w/ the tails just showing, but no side portion now. - like it!
Still need to add side signals.
Hood scoop is the current project. Just layed the first layer of glass today.
Maybe I'll do a write up on it. When done, it should look like a natural part of the hood.

Just in case you were curious about the front. Here you go:

Still planning on glassing the lights into the body, but will do a Photoshop of it first.

Thanks,

Troy Fitz.

A for effort, but I'm not a fan of the style you're going with your car.

Those mods are quite good in my opinion, the car looks very tough in Matt Black. The tail lights aren't doing it for me but I like the R32 ones in that grey one, very different. Mate great work.

The scoop serves a purpose. Although I like the look of a stock scoop, it won't work. But, what I have lurking underneath my hood is not what this thread pertains to.

I tried playing w/ a panel in the location you mentioned. But it made the front look too fat. I will probably mess around w/ adding some vents in the underside of the fender. May be kinda "shark like" looking though. Could look good. Never made vents yet, could be an adventure. Next project is the mirror you see. It's basically a backwards areo mirror. Tall on the top, and shorter on the bottom-with more scallop on the outside. The one in the pics is just sprayed cardboard at this time.

I think I hold pretty much no value in your opinion what so ever based upon your hobby-(referring to the avatar tag)
But I suppose it could be considered somewhat of a theme type car- bat, shark, Darth Vader's ride, Black OPS stealth supercar.
But none of the following are the case. I just like evil, wicked, mean and nasty as it's theme.
If I pull up beside you, or you see me in your rear view mirror coming fast, and if you feel a little -uneasy, and say to yourself, "what the hell is that thing" - I have succeeded in my mission.
And yes, it is as fast as it looks. - be kinda silly to build a car that looks like this w/out the HP to back it up. Not done with the engine though.

Thanks,
Troy Fitz.

I hope this is a track car, because that is not legal on the street, anywhere. Also the widebody poses some problems. I mean this in a constructive criticism way hoping to save you some problems in the future if you get in a wreck. This is taken from the FMVSS No. 108.

1. It needs side reflectors on the rear section of the vehicle.

2. I doubt the tail light reflectors are now big or bright enough.

S5.7.2.1 (a) Each reflex reflector shall conform to SAE Standard J594f, Reflex Reflectors, January 1977.
(b) Each red reflex reflector shall also provide, at an observation angle of 0.2 degree, not less than 300 millicandelas/lux at any light entrance angle between 30 degrees left and 30 degrees right, including
an entrance angle of 0 degree, and not less than 75 millicandelas/lux at any light entrance angle between 45 degrees left and 45 degrees right.
3. I doubt the tail lights are now big enough.
S5.1.1.26 On a motor vehicle whose overall width is less than 80 inches:
(a) The functional lighted lens area of a single compartment stop lamp, and a single compartment rear turn signal lamp, shall be not less than 50 square centimeters.
(b) If a multiple compartment lamp or multiple lamps are used to meet the photometric requirements for stop lamps and rear turn signal lamps, the functional lighted lens area of each compartment or lamp
shall be at least 22 square centimeters, provided the combined area is at least 50 square centimeters.
4. You screwed the following code in the ***.

S5.1.3 No additional lamp, reflective device or other motor vehicle equipment shall be installed that impairs the effectiveness of lighting equipment required by this standard.

1. He already knows that.
2.probably and i think this is what makes them ugliest, that reflecto section is off center and just makes it look like he did what he did to those lights.
3.They seem like they'd be close maybe not tho, but i doubt it would be a problem most cops would be cool with those imo.
4.If he fixes the side marker deal then it shouln't be too bad.
btw not trying to be an *** to anyone here just giving my opinion.
I pesonally hate bad taillights, like "euro" lights that have white light escaping around the red lense or pink tailights instead of red.
Don't really like these tho i think i'd see them fine on the road but i think they are ugly.
Ohh yeah don't like the r33 tails on an rx-7 although they do fit ok, i think it's like putting camero lights on a mustang, of vette tails on a charger. when i see those tails i think skyline and when i think skyline i think of the other badass japanese sports car.
