don't forget about a turbo upgrade, you can get full kits for about $500 including header. after everything else gets upgraded though.

Where can I put a header on my TII? Also where can I get a good upgrade for 500 with a wastegate and manifold, not a header? Noob..

maybe you want to call it a manifold, looks like a header but you can call it what you want. may not the best of parts but i'm sure it probably works ok for the money with some tuning. i just want someone to try out the kit and let me know how well it works... noob.

I was joking about the header deal, but a 500 dollar turbo upgrade is a piece of **** IMHO.. That turbo looks like one of the chinese Garret ripoffs that least less than 1000 miles at most..

if you find out let me know, do you know whether the manifold is a POS as well? even if the turbo is crap the other parts almost make it seem worth it, depending on if you like to pay for a name or not. i guess paying $150+ for a BOV makes it work better than a cheaper one..

I've read about these turbos from reputable turbo builders, and they are garbage. I dont know about the manifolds and such, but there is an adage that states "you get what you pay for". I'd rather pay more than go through the heartache of making cheap components work personally..

well, the manifold does look pretty sturdy with the flanges it has, but who needs a SS manifold on T2? you can't even see the exhaust, and if you can you are looking for trouble.

i was just curious though, i plan on just upping the boost on my stock turbo until i can find a suitable replacement.

in first and second gear right after 6,000RPM's, when im getting on it, it kinnda bogs down a lil then i shift and it sits me back in the seat. Other times it goes geat and i shift at the buzzer right at 7,000RPM's. Is this normal or is something wrong????

Damn, welcome to the turbo club. It's a good thing ain't it. I can't believe how much series 4 turboII's are going for now, the series 5's are even more. The turbo's I've seen around here are all about 3g's and up in good but not great condition. I bought mine in the summer of 2002 for $1,300. It only had 115,000 miles on it and it had the complete turbo back racing beat exhaust with the FCD and a racing beat street/strip clutch set with under 5k miles on it. It's got the most perfect black paint and an interior that looks like new, the seats don't even look broken in. The only down side was it was rolling on some 16 inch Chrome wheels but they were wrapped with Falken Ziex ZE-502 tires, which were pretty good at the time, but even those wheels I ended up selling for $300. I had a set of Hasemi S5 wheels ready to use. I can't belive hoe expensive turboII's are getting, it's no wonder people are buying N/A's and going turbo on those. Well either way, I'm sure you know what I'm talking about when I say nothing is cooler than saying you have A TurboII. Have fun with your car and watch out for the redline. Mazda recommends a rebuild at 100k miles on a turbo motor but it will last if you're carefull.

You are hitting fuel cut due to boost creep (probably because of the upgraded exhaust). You can live with it like that, or pull the turbo and port it.

You don't need to port anything just install a plug and play FCD like the one from racing beat.

if you are reaching fuel cut boost pressures you will lose a few races until you get it straightened out. i couldn't watch the video but i believe the stock boost fuel cut setting is at 7.5psi factroy setting but i could be wrong, i can't remember off the top of my head.

the turboII is quick but it's not very fast until you throw on a boost regulator and turn it up a couple of pounds and get a full exhaust with a downpipe. in my opinion of course.

I had my brother time my 0-60 2 runs and it was 9.5 seconds, I spun the tires in first but not a lot and shifted at 7000 RPM's when it beeped, also my N/A hit just about 60 in second gear, I was only at 50 in second and was into 3rd at 60. Im not a pro driver or anything but even so i should run 0-60 higher then 9's!!!!!!! Im getting a boost gauge today this afternoon, i gotta drive an hour to get one, and checking the compression tom.

What else should i check??????

I blame it on Initial D. One of the guys from work came over and brought a buddy with and he saw my FC in the garage and the first thing out of his mouth was "OMG, that's a FC3S, do you drift race?". :sigh:

I really want a TII and keep my NA for a winter beater.

Congrats on a nice find though bro, I dig that color too.

Hehe, that sounds awesome, I need boost dammit. If I'm reading that right, you're pulling 5psi, and when it jumps back to -20 at shift, it's just because the guage is going nuts because the pressure is no longer there, right?
