Talking My new RX7

So I just bought a 1990 RX7... its gonna need some work and all new interior.. any rotary fans know of a good place to get stock replacement interior pieces and stock replacement engine parts? The less i can spend the better, so i'm prolly gonna check junkyards first, but any catalogs/web sites would be good too

looks like the paint may be melting off.... oh nevermind, that's just the picture.
Congratulations on the new car, and I can't tell you many places for parts other than here, www.thepartstrader.com, or junkyards. Some others may have better ideas.
A few things though, is it auto/Manual? what's up with the hood not completely closing (wreck, popped to show you the engine, etc)? And are you getting a set of matching rims, or just planning on going aftermarket once ou pick it up?

haha yeah sorry about the quality of that pic... its a manual (of course) the hood is completely closed the headlight is a little messed up which is why it looks like that and i havent decided on the rims yet but i thought some not-to-flashy looking 16 inch white rims would probably look niiice

sounds like you've already got a good set of plans for it. What kind of mileage is on it? And is that on the engine, tranny and car, or are there some new parts (big parts like engine and tranny i mean)? I figure these are all gonna come up soon, so I might as well beat people to them.

Cause in 90 there were only the GTU, GTUs, TII and vert.

Obviously not a vert, cause (well duh)...
Not a TII cause of the hood
Not a GTUs cause its white

Thus a GTU.

At least thats how I think he knows...

Re: My new RX7

Looks like it has potential. And white wheels on a white car looks GOOD.

There are about 8 FD's in Gainesville whom I know and a couple of 1st and 2nd gens.

We usually meet at the Ale House on Thursday nights (around 9:30 or 10)....the International Motorsports Club of UF meets there every Thursday and we kinda just hang out.

Otherwise we are at each others houses troubleshooting and basically just shooting the ****.
