Well guys I didnt think this was going to be a big problem with you all on the way the porting job was done but its not a "normal" port its "Itos" and I have full confidence that with Ito working my engine will deff hit our goal of 200 rwhp or more. And like Vosko said its cool for criticism, and thats what makes things better for the future. But like a few of you guys just look at it and think "wrong" or "never saw that before". Keep your minds open to new ideas and you might learn something new. And I have spent alot of time and money researching my parts and learning alot of new things on the way from the people on the forum and guys like Vosko and Ito who I would think I pissed off alot with all the damn questions I have lol.
Ill have some pics up tomorrow of the engine fully built and the trans apart for the rebuild hopefully. So soon my n/a will be alive agian!
And Dyno results soon to follow so you guys will then maybe think twice about the "Judge Ito Spec Streetport".
Agian thanks for everyone along the way for the help.

*And TED those pics of the port were you see the "scratches" is all from my digicam.

Nick

God man, will you relax? Why does everybody have to be so damn self-conscious? You post some stuff on the internet for the world to see, and the first time somebody writes a post that doesnt say "WOW OMFG that is ******* bad *** I want one just like it" then some people get all out of whack. I feel sorry for you if you go through life accepting everything at face value, and believing everything your told.

But like a few of you guys just look at it and think "wrong" or "never saw that before". Keep your minds open to new ideas and you might learn something new
Well, I looked at it and thought "Hmmm, that's odd, never seen one done that way on a 6 port motor, so let me ask why he did it that way so I can learn the theory behind it's operation..."

I guess I was wrong to think this way though, and to even question the might and knowledge you guys possess. I feel dumber for having to post my name in the same thread below yours, and I feel smarter just having seen your usernames. I am in awe and humbled by your presence on this forum. Anyone who has a question or comment other than utter praise of yoru accomplishment should be punished or banned.

LET IT BE NOTED THAT THE ABOVE COMMENTS ARE DIRECTED TOWARD THE ORIGINAL POSTER, AND ONLY THE ORIGINAL POSTER.

I for one would like to, but somebody always has to start bitching and whining defending themselves against other people's criticism. IF you dont want to hear people's opinions, dont post pictures and information on the freaking internet for the world to see!

That port will loose low end because the seperater is ground out, thuus alowing compression to blow charge back into the primary port, even though the 6th ports are closed, it might not loose as much as having them completly open though, and looks like it will have good top end, personally i like the port, looks awesome, will probably flow awesome at high revs.

also has that housing been run before with that port? it looks "dirty" like it was run after porting, not shinny like freshly cut metal, and it does look like 3 water passages are filled in the pic, might be the angle though

I assumed this was without the actuator "rods".&nbsp You've explained that you're still using the rods, and this makes a LOT more sense.
The water jacket passage right "behind" the port itself *looks* blocked with epoxy.&nbsp The stuff I use looks *exactly* like what it would in the picture, but it looks like it's a bit of photo trickery and lighting - which makes this point moot.
The sanding marks, you've explained, are totally believable.&nbsp I tend to sand the sharp edges myself on my ports.

Yo,

Drama, always drama. When are we going to see some real numbers on this beyotch?!

The bullshit stops when the dyno rollers start...

I'm looking forward to seeing the results! Maybe a Renesis swap isn't the only way to go...

Yeah, nice port job man! I am too excited to see the results on the dyno. To me, that also looks like a tourque killer, but what do i know, i guess if the runners themselves are not touched (much) it wouldnt make that big of a deal with tourque. What exactly is the point of making one big gaping hole if the runners are the same? wouldnt that just be more stress on the side seal itself?
PLEASE DONT FLAME ME, im just asking some questions
Thanks

Engine is in the car and almost ready to fire up. soon after that we will dyno.. You say renesis engine?? I took a 6 port Rx7 to the dyno with a 135 nitrous shot and made 265rwhp and it was very reliable power. Forget about the renesis and just use a little nitrous...

Yo,

Nitrous?! Nitrous?! Bah! I ain't usin' no power adders except what God intended: Air. *grin* I'm big on the Naturally Aspirated thang, hence the reason I'm interested to see this motor strut it's stuff!

*rubs hands* Looking forward to the results. You should videotape it! My mostly stock GTUs put down 140rwhp. It'll be interesting to see what this one does.

Running a true dual exhaust and S-AFC and all that good stuff I assume?

Man, you ask for a little tech behind something different and everyone gets all butt-hurt.

You guys need to check the egos at the door and disscuss, level-headed the tech behind this stuff. I would LOVE to learn some of this stuff, but every tech thread disenigrates into a damn flame war.

No-one is questioning your intelegences, or your accomplishments, they are just trying to UNDERSTAND. Yelling and saying 'trust me' doesn't help people understand.

The way I see it, it was a mis-comunication between Ted and Ito, where somebody else said something, Ito pointed out that he thought the answer was for Ted, and from there on things got complicated.

We should thank him for leting us see his port job, not many builders out there throw there port jobs in public. I am not saying it will work, nor saying it will!!

Sure it is crazy and out of the ordinary, but where we come from, EVERYTHING is out of the ordinary. I am sure that if it works, a lot of us will be experimenting with similar ports.

I don't think anybody is to blame,

Can I get a

Definetly like to see the dyno sheet from that. If the torque doesn't change to much that might be a good port for me to use on my FP car. Tell me if I'm wrong but it looks like you just removed the bridge between the ports and smoothed the piece between the ports. Seems simple enough and hopefully effective. Good luck.

Dude, I know I may sound blind, but not THAT blind!
Your work has been notable at least!&nbsp There is so much trash on here, and your stuff is definitely not trash.&nbsp I respect very few people in here, but you're on the list (added to RICE RACING) as cutting-edge rotary enthusiasts.

I apologize for the misunderstanding - I take the majority of posts with a grain of salt, so thus the condescending manner.&nbsp Once you explanations were provided, I have no problem with the thread or your work.&nbsp Good luck with the goals on the engine.

I really do envy your position, and you're able to work on some of the fastest rotary cars in the U.S.&nbsp It's been difficult on my side due to money contraints, but I've got a few big projects (customer cars) coming out soon hopefully.

Oh hell yeah!&nbsp I also give him props for messing with the 6-port motors, since very little people mess with them!&nbsp This kinda information (i.e. photos of ports) is like GOLD for some people.&nbsp I'd bet some rotary shops are trying to figure out the ports themselves from those photos...

I've never seen information like this posts so freely on the subject.&nbsp I'd bet you'd never find stuff like this no where else.

Man Judge Ito, you got *****.
