Is it my headlight relay?

So my headlights wont turn on.

My dash lights turn on, and the dimmer switch works. Brake lights also come on, as well as turn signals. I checked the fuse in the engine bay and it is fine.

Ive replaced the switch and still have the same problems, is it the relay?

What color connector does the headlight relay use? I see a green and a white connector.

Is there only one fuse for the headlights??? It's on the fuseblock in the engine bay correct?

If I run a wire from one headlight directly to the battery, both lights turn on. What does that mean? When I ran a wire from the lowbeams to the battery, the dimmer relay made a buzzing noise, while if I ran a wire to the highbeams, the noise never occurs.

If the headlights don't work, how do you know the dimmer switch works?

Brake lights also come on, as well as turn signals.
So you know, the brakes lights and turn signals have nothing to do with the headlight system.

Ive replaced the switch and still have the same problems, is it the relay?
The headlight system is very simple. Fuse > headlight relay > dimmer relay > bulbs. The headlight switch controls the headlight relay. The dimmer relay is controlled by the dimmer switch, and it can't prevent the headlights coming on at all. Since the fuse and bulbs are fine, and assuming both switches you have are working properly, then the only thing left is the headlight relay. Check it like you'd check any other relay, or by following the instructions in the FSM Body Electrical chapter.

You should check the switch first though. Unplug the switch connector and jumper the red/white and black wires. This should turn on the headlight relay and hence the headlights. If it does, the switch is the problem. If it doesn't, check the relay.

What color connector does the headlight relay use? I see a green and a white connector.
Identify the relay by looking at it's position as shown in the FSM and confirming the wire colours as per the FSM wiring diagrams.

Correct.

If I run a wire from one headlight directly to the battery, both lights turn on. What does that mean?
It means they're wired in parallel and are working fine.

Sweet, thanks.

Now what about that buzzing noise I heard from the dimmer relay when I tried direct wiring the low beams. The noise didnt happen when I direct wired the high beams.

Have you checked it before you rush out to buy a new one?

Check the dimmer relay as well (see the FSM), although I doubt it's the problem. Wiring up systems in odd ways can cause odd results...
