My friend needs help!

Hes going to check out this car tomorrow, yes I know its auto thats what he wants

I can't find the links to some good FC3S RX-7 buyers guides, but here are a few RX-7 specific things to look for off the top of my head:

- get compression check done (even with that newish engine, just to make sure)
- exhaust system (rx-7's have hot exhaust, and the systems don't last long)
- condition of belts
- transmission synchros and shifting (i think 5th gear is the "problem" gear)
- ask him if it's ever been overheated since the new engine was installed
- condition of engine hoses (prone to cracking and deteriating)

The auto is a time bomb! Tell him to get another make of car if he wants an auto. Reality sucks!

Find out why he is using the stock S4 wheels. Were the original S5 ones damaged in an accident?

Unscrew the water level sensor on top of the radiator. After the massive overheat that took out my first engine mine melted
