My DIY FTP's... what do you guys think? *56k beware*
Hey, i've had these on my car for a while, but I'd been to lazy to post pix til now. What do you think?
on the driver side, i have one Luxeon LED which is great for spreading light.
thd passenger side has 3 LED's that focus the light more, but I filed them down to change the angle of emitted light. I did this to see which people like more... most people said the 3 LED's.. So, i'll probably replace the Luxeon with 3 LED's also.

Nice pix, dude!
The single light seems whiter and more matched to the rest of the lighting than the bluer 3 lights. I think I like the single like more also because it has a fuller halo -- at least in the pix -- but I also think it could be more full like the fog lights below. The triplets seem a little wimpy to me. Do you suppose the heat buildup in the lens areas is any kind of issue? Anyway, looks like you are having fun with this. Right on.

use them with the fog lights, and only the foglights, but not with the headlights
unless your gonna get a headlight conversion kit or something...then change em all around to match...like a xenon blue or something
that would be cool

damn some1 said it before me 3 luxeons would look great 2 might even be enough but the blue doesn't really fit, maybe the blue would look better if you had silvania silverstar headlights ( for those of you who haven't seen those headlights they kick *** they are soo much brighter and whiter its unbelievable)

see i dont like the 6 headlight look. my favourite look at night is the headlights, runninglights and fog lights way down low (in the brake duct actually) gives a very nice appearance.. kind of an evo-ish look.

the three I used are actually just some cheapies I bought on e-bay. They were supposed to be "hyper white", but I guess you can't get any more white without some kind of hue of blue. The reason I did not use more of the luxeon is because they are $15 a pop. The luxeon I used was just a regular emitter. If you look at it from the side, it has a flat top opposed to the more common "domed" top. The way I hooked it up is I put a resistor(value depending on the LED) in series with the LED/string of LED's. Either way, I'm going to have to make a matching set, so if more people are interested, I can try to put up my "ghetto" writeup. Thanks for the complements guys, and the criticism. That's exactly what I was looking for.
