I did this to my car today and no I need help.

Today I finished the ATF thing. and took the car for a drive to get out all the smoke. It ran great.
Then after I return I decide to go ahead and change my upper manifold to the ported one I have. I also had some new secondaries to put in. so I did all of this and the secondaries didn't work. the car fell flat at 3800 RPM. so I return home to put back in the ones I took out.
I started it up and it idled fine. I let it warm up while I put away all of my tools. when I got in to drive it wouldn't accelerate. I would hold the throttle in one spot and the car would cut out. like I was tapping the accelerator and the letting go. it did this at all throttle positions.
This upsets me.
so I try to figure out what is wrong, I diconnect the battery so reset the computer thinking the new injectors may have givin it an error code. this did help but not while driving. I can't go over 3100 RPM. I took out the old spark plugs and put in new ones thinking the ATF may have fouled the old ones. it didn't but I replaced them anyway.
It feels like a fuel cut or an ignition cut. the car is very near undrivable. and I am worried that the 45 minute commute to work would kill it.
I have no idea what this could be and I have to go to work tommorow. I need help bad. any ideas I will try anything.

It has to be something that you messed with in the intake system, anything that you took off when you ported the intake may not be seated properly and have a leak. Check all connections and use WD-40 to find vac leaks. Good luck.

Try disconnecting the TPS and driving the car. I had the same problem and it ran fine with no tps.

You said you "had some new secondaries to put in", so you replaced them, right? Could it be possible you swapped high-impedance for low or vice versa? There are two different types of injectors, and each won't work on the other type. The switch point between the two was halfway through the '88 model year, if I'm remembering correctly.

I fixed it it was the TPS. it had corroded electrical connections. Works great now and the ported upper manifold is bad ***. thanks guys. I think I did have the wrong imedence injectors. I had to cut off the little tab that makes it so they will only go on one way. I did put the old ones back in.
