My car possesed

Okay super weird stuff yo, alright my car was running perfect right, then i hooked up my front mount intercooler then it all went to hell. i had too relocate the battery to back and what not to make room for the pipes but whatever whatever. so anyways, my car hunts idle from 1000-2000, and if i kick the gas pedal it stays steady at 3k rpm. i adjusted my tps, and now when i start it, it revs too 3k and stays there. and i have no vaccum leaks, iv check 3 times. any ideas guys, or how to mess with the SAFC?, and i noticed when it ran good, the AFL was at 9.0% - 12.1%, but for some reason its at 1.8% - 2.4%, and this all started when my intercooler piping popped off?

this right here my friends is a moment

How did you check for vacuum leaks?

idle hunting sounds exactly like a vac leak to me. plus you were just messing with your intake system...

I'm assuming you installed an aftermarket throttle body elbow with the IC, is your throttle body o-ring in okay shape (the big one that goes around the throttle bores)? On my n/a, mine was basically gone, and I tried to cheap out by using RTV with no o-ring. It hunted at idle non-stop, sometimes up to 2000 rpm. Something to consider, as soon as I installed a new one, I had a rock solid 750 rpm idle.

we used carb cleaner to check the vacum leaks everywhere and found none. we have taken apart the thottle body, upper and lower intake manifolds, turbo, FIC and piping, even put the stock top mount back on, checked ALL the electrical grounds and wires ect...... still cant find the problem. the engine is still good as with everything else, i can check that o-ring theory today and see if it helps but im pretty sure if it was a vac leak we woulda found it or at least hear it. the SAFC gauge is telling us the AFL is at 40.1 before my friend starts the car, its usualy at 1.9 or so and sometimes lower, so somehow were are getting way to much air/fuel but were stumped.

3000 rpm sounds like the fast idle system. Is the fast idle cam/thermowax operating ok?

Does it still do this when it is warmed up?

Pull the BAC electrical connector and see if there is any change...

Vacuum leaks in the intercooler or its connections? Especially the one that popped off?

update..

alright well upon further digging i have found some things i shall make a list
-bad TPS
-12 really small vac leaks in the inter cooler pipping, explains why the carb cleaner didnt show results
-the plastic things underneath the injectors, the seals were harder than rocks and the plastic thing just fell out without any effort.
-secondary injector seals were bad, and leaking

so far that's all i have come up with, the inter cooler pipping is out getting resealed, and i ordered new injector seals, and i replaced the O-rings on the plastic pieces, and they actually fit in there nice and snug. i got a new TPS sensor, and dialed it in. so now im waiting on my pipes to be finished so i can see if any of this made a difference.

GOT MY FINGERS CROSSED

alright this is seriously ridiculous, i replace my injector seals, so theres no more fuel leak, i resealed all of my maniolds, i resealed my intercooler piping and intake piping, but for some fucked up reason my car still doesnt run right its acting as if it has a vaccum leak, but i cannot see how, when the car was running i pulled off a block off hose and it has no effect to the idle. my SAFC is saying i have 2% vaccum which obviously is not right, and it is also saying im getting 3.8V to my primary injectors while the key is to the on position but not started. when the car is started it says the primary injectors have 1.8V? my dad and i were fiddling with it for 3 hours and we can figure out why its running so crappy, it has a new tps, new temp sensor, new o2. but for some dumb reason, when i start my car it revs 3k rpm, and after a couple minutes it will start hunting for idle, 1k - 1.6k

i have no idea what the hells wrong with my car, but its annoying, theres no emissions on it, i have good compression, stock tmic, SAFC, AVC-R. i cant figure out why there isnt alot of vaccum when i cannoth find and visible leaks,

please someone give me something to try or look into. I MISS DRIVING MY RX7!
