My Back End Is higher than my front after suspension mod
A few weeks ago I purchased a used set of tokico illnmina's (5-way adjustable) with intrax springs. I put them on my car without any problems and thought they were fine. Then i started getting compliments that my car isnt setting right.
the problem is the front is setting really low ( like I like it ) while the back is setting not so low (about an inch or half higher then the front).
My question is how do I get the back to set nice and low liek the front. Ive heard I can chop the springs but I shouldnt have to do this. ????
Also does anyone have a picture of the intrax springs on their car...?
(below are some pictures of my car with the front and rear ride height difference).

Your car is faster now. It's always going downhill....
But who exactly is giving these "complaints"? It's your car. If you like it keep it. Looks just fine to me.

Your stock springs were just worn out, on racing beats website it says more than likly most springs will actually raise your car due to the stock ones sagging.

Are you sure you put the fronts on the front, and the rears on the rear?
Double check.
Did that on my CRX...slammed out the front, skyrocketed the rear...haha.

u can safely cut maybe 1/4 to 1/2 coil on the rear with no ill effects. ive done to my old benz and was good. the thing a bout cutting is your never satisfied and end up wanting to cut more.
sometimes the more u cut, the stiffer the spring will become if i recall.
some people set thier cars up to be lower in the front so when entering a corner, more wieght is already in the front allowing the car to rotate better etc... tho you dont want too much or the rear will swing out

Do they have "reserve" coils, if not don't cut.

Check what intrax is supposed to drop, it may be a different inch drop on front and rears. Where did you get them from, you may want to call and verify the part number on the spring matches the 7 number. Do you have a pic of a different car with intrax springs to compare?

The rears on FCs have larger fender gaps than the front which may give it the impression that it is higher. Also it looks like your rear tire profiles are larger. Is it just the picture?

the front tires are 215's and the rears are 225's. But before I had 215's all around and it looked real silly ![Smilie](https://www.rx7club.com/images/smilies/smile.gif)
The intrax are supposed to drop 1.6".

Don't cut the coils, especially not with a torch. They are made to seat in a certain position. And even if you cut one full coil off, you're changing the spring rate. If you want it a certain way, get coilovers or adjustable spring perches.

no mines not bouncy at all. I can adjust it if i want it bouncy but right now i have it so its stiff. The spring rate will not be effected if it is only a little cut. (like a 1/4 of an inch) but I have heard that the camber wil be effected so I would need to by adjustable toe arms if i slam it...

Cutting the rear springs will have a negative effect on your handling. not only will the rear camber be way too negative, but the shock will not keep tension on the spring at full droop (it barely does now). This will result in strange behavior coming out of corners at an autocross (please don't ask how I know...)
