My 3800rpm woes and how I fixed it.
So about a month after I picked up my TII, one day in the middle of driving it, it starts hitting a wall around 3800rpm mark, or when i push it into boost..so i figure my secondaries are just clogged and i say screw it until this coming up week when i get paid and ill buy 720s+rtek, and that should fix it either way...well on friday I decided to tear it down, and switch the primaries with the secondaries, to see if it was in fact an injector...Well as I was putting the plugs back on the secondaries after I changed them, I noticed the outer coating was missing off the wires on the front plug right as it goes into the plug...so im like WTF, thats my whole problem right there..i wrap them up in electrical tape (just for now until i get my 720s this week+new pigtails)..throw the IM back on...and damn...i LOVE boost, is all I can say...so any of you guys out there having the 3800rpm problem, take off your manifold and check the plugs! these cars are old, the plugs and wires are most likely brittle, and the plugs themselves like to break in half..its worth a shot...just figured id throw this out there..

Mine was a vacuum leak. The hose was one of the two coming from the passenger side LIM where it bolts to the UIM and goes back to the emissions crap. I think it goes to the orange solenoid but don't know or care - never traced it, just replaced it and now I race it! lol ~rich
