Cool my 2nd track day.......

HI GUYS......
just had a great weeked. thursday i picked up my brand new kumo race tires and man do they run great. i cut my springs also on thursday
and it helped a bunch. i cut a little less than half a coil off the bottom of the fronts and only the first flat coil on the rear as i ran out of time.
i would like to cut some more on the rear when i have time. i only cut a little at a time to make sure the car sits even. did'nt want to take off to much since springs are on back order and it's easy to take off but
hard to add on.............
i took off from work on friday
and spent 4 hours at no problem raceway.
i did about 65 laps. i did 5 slow laps with
chris one of the local porsche instructors. he was happy with my car control so he turned me loose by myself to run laps. their were 2 other rx7's on the track so we had lots of fun running together.
after i took a break one of the track owners ask me to give a track worker a ride so off i went. about 3 laps into the ride the guy asked me
HEY MAN HOW LONG YOU BEEN RACING CARS?
in the middle of a 80mph sweeper i yelled back
THIS IS MY FIRST TIME...........
after that he did'nt talk much and held on for dear life.
once the ride was over he said he did'nt know a car could turn that fast and thanked me for the ride. after lunch i drove chris (porsche guy) around for a few more laps and he was like you've been driving like this all day? and i said yep, said i had very good control
and excellent line selection and braking control.
on sunday i went back to the track for the races and had loads of fun the 2 rx7's i was running with in friday both crashed out in their heat races but came back to do ok in the main event. can't wait for my anti roll kit to come in, then i'll start working on
my roll cage and exhaust.
later

hey dre 2ooo
the track is a 1.8 mile 14 turn road course and i braked hard tap for t1 (from 100mph to 90) and alittle for tap down to 3rd gear t3 hard braking down to 2nd gear for t4 on the gas hard for t5,t6 ,t7 up 80mph hit hard brake for just a sec then gas it for t9, just a tap for t9 hard on brake drop down to 3rd gear stay in 3rd with just a little lift to set the car in each turn until you get to main straight.
in other words no heel toe
on this track with my car don't seem to need it, theres a spot or 2 that i might even try to left foot brake just to help settle the car on turn in.
thats my 1:40 lap time in a stock rx with kumos
