I assume a TII will shoot better flames than an N/A? Cause those flames are freakin' awesome....its like a flame thrower!!!!!
Will an NA shoot a long *** burst of flame like that or will it be only momentary?

Love the pic. got to get a pic. of mine doing that too. Also got a 10th anniv....lights up the whole back end of the car. Love it! Help when some *** wants to try and ride to close to you'r back bumper....melt it .. they back off quick.

nima taba- an NA can shoot flames like that, but the reason a TII usually seems to shoot bigger flames is because of aftermarket BOVs that are not plumbed into the intake manifold.
When you have a BOV that is atmosphere vented and you shift, the air flow sensor has already measured the air that is let out by the BOV. This means your car has lots more fuel than air during a shift, which means big flames.

Who had that video a while back of some rx7's driving through the country side? There was a black TII that would have fire behind it for literally 5 seconds at a time...it was sweeeet!

By the way my freind showed me this link where there was a kit that shot flames up too 20 feet from the exaust it was some kit im not sure where but we thought taht would be the best way to keep tail gaters off our asses

there must be some way of making your car do this could you extend the signal wire from the afm and put some kind of switch and resistor combo in between the ecu to make it rich at some point in time?

That TII is badass though, DAMN. Nice flamage there.
Heheheh.. and good question, what exactly is that pop? I get it at the top of 1st if I'm flooring it...

The pop is called afterburn. When the rpm of the rotors changes suddenly (like when you take your foot off the gas to shift) a little of the intake charge gets forced past the seal in the chamber into the exhaust charge. This then gets spit out and ignites in your exhaust system. POP!
7s have an anit-afterburn valve that is supposed to spit out a little extra air so that the intake charge will burn off w/o the pop, but it doesn't always work properly.
Afterburn is 100% normal with a rotary engine. It does not mean that you are killing your engine. And it's a great head-turner. Nothing will get people looking at youru car faster than making them think that you are shooting at them.
