muffler silencers good, bad?

Im looking at an APEX N1 cat-back for my t2, but i don't want to be loud as hell all the time, plus im sure ill get alot of tickets, does anyone have the optional silencer they sell for the muffler? Does it quite it a good amount? Does it take away alot of power?

Also how much more power would you guess this would give over a RB, bonez..etc

In a TII, the silencer cuts down boost by about 2 psi. It makes a big difference. It also quiets it down alot. It is one of the best catbacks on the market. The RB system is very good as well, and very well constructed. It is not as loud as the N1, so it doesn't need a silencer. bonez doesn't make a catback to my knowledge. The RB would have more low-midrange power than the N1, but the N1 has more over the RB in the top end. I have owned both, and kept the RB system because of the nature of the car it is on.

So the silencer keeps boost down 2psi? Is that for the single or dual?
