msd 6a drain battery?

it's juts a posablity. but recently ive been noticing a small batery drain if i let my car sit for about 3 days the batery is about dead. the only thing i did to it was install the msd 6a ignition box but I did it exactly as fc3spro's insructions state. it's a long shot but has anyone els had a msd box drain their battery? this drain isnt something i HAVE to find but it would be nice to.. just emiminating posibilities here..

just disconnect it one day that you know your going to let it sit for 3 days and see what happens. If it still is draining your battery some people have problems with one of thier lights that won't pop up but is constantly trying too after a wreck. Do your lights go up and down easily?

ya my lights seem to go up and down prety easy but come to think of it they do go wacko randomly when i go to use them sometimes.. i shuould look further into that i suppose.. so it seems my msd shouldnt be the culprit here which is what i was assuming. ill look into the lights and go from there thanx guys

It doesn't do that on my car, you've got a short to ground somewhere most likely.

Why don't you check the current draw first?
The MSD 6A is not supposed to have any parasitic current draw when it's off, unless you wired it wrong and it's on after the engine is off?

after runing some tests im positive it isnt the msd. it was just my first guess because it's the most recent electrical component i put on the car. chances are the drain has been there for a very long time, i just never let it set for as long as that to notice. still havent found the problem though. And ya i installed it correctly reted your instructions are clear and ur sight is prety helpful by the way
