I wasn't referring to you at all.

You might be right, or I might be, it's hard to say which numbers are right because I've seen tons of sources say what I've quoted, and obviously you've seen enough of what you've quoted, so who knows.

Even if you want to get into the whole "those numbers are underestimated" battle, you could say that about the mr2 as well. I think the point is that the mr2 is faster stock than a TII either way you look at it.

S4 C&D from '86, see www.iluvmyrx7.com (not up so I can't give exact date) 14.9
S5 14.9: http://www.car-stats.com
S5 SCI pg. 153 "Mazda RX-7: Gold Portfolio 1978-1991" 14.53! (best I can recall seeing)
S5 pg 155 "Mazda RX-7: Gold Portfolio 1978-1991" 14.85
Oh about car-stats.com

What I've found on there that is interesting, is that they have 2 listings for the TII. They have the Mazda RX-7 TurboII, but then if you go under Mazda RX-7 Turbo it has a listing for 87 and 89, s4 and s5, where it gives 15.2 for the s4 and 15.1 for the s5. Another example of how variable places can be.

My MR2 TURBO weighs in around 2600. Stock has 200 lb ft of torque and 200 hp on 11 lbs of boost. its easy to get 15lbs just by opening up the exhaust and a boost controller in which case you'll be around 230 hp and 235 lb ft. It'll kill the Rx7 with the launch and in the long run IMO.

Do a search for "SW20" in this section.
This subject has been rehashed for quite some time now.

I raced a MK2 with a few mods boosting at like 18 psi he says, And i have full exhaust on my s5 T2 and boosting at about 10-11 psi. The freeway race ways easy I got to about 140 at the time he was probablly at about 120 mph but 1/4 was close all depends on who gets the better launch.

this is the RX7 forum...... therefore it dont matter if the MR2 has 1000HP on 50PSI
the stock 12a will still win ... IMO... lol

drag racing theya re close, it would prob come down to driver skill, As for road handling the mr2 is decent, but a rx7 is easier to control. If you get thr mr2 outta line just alittle kiss your *** end goodbye. Im a fan of mr2s. But i still beleive a FC is a better sports car.
