Motor Swap Starting Wed.
Hey guys
Just wanted to ask a few q/a's
I have an 86 GX and have not touched the car for 4 years. In the midst of these 4 years gone by I have come across a pretty decent shape red 90 GX 5 speed. Everything is pretty much mint but the previous owner or should I say the only owner drove it in the winter all of its life so the body is rusted right out till he gave it up and I bought it. Now I would like to take the motor and swap it to my 86. Will the 90 GX motor and trans fit and bolt up to the 86 GX. What should I look out for and what should I be doing before I take it out and drop it in. Thanks.
I want this car out of my garage and driving, miss it so much.
And I will be getting rid of a few parts from both cars, I will post pics and parts up for grabs. Thanks Again.

cross series swaps are not recommended but you have the whole set up with the parts car so it is definitely possible, just more in depth than dropping the new one in. you can search s4/s5 swap and it should help out. check out rotaryresurrection.com, hope it helps.
