Trying to run my setup with a 2.2 megasquirt(fuel and ignition)went MICROTECH and no more issues,Welding my rear diff mount solid because it snapped every time that i launched the car(without rubber piece)because the diff can cant move up and down and it makes a awful noise, change from power steering to a manual rack, removed AC,4 inch turbo back without any kind of resonators.

Improper audio installation.

Sucks whenever the radio is moved fuses pop, I've gone through like 15 20a and 3 radios.

About to go put a new 20a in, hopefully the deck works still, gonna rewire it. I still dunno hwo the hell moving a radio makes the wrapped up wires short out ~_~

building my s5 t2 with all stock emissions equipment intact. I will never do that again.

TB mod was awful, but it worked great after the Haltech install! lol

gutting the cats is so dumb. do you know how much those things are worth!? nobody ever has a cat to borrow during emissions time and your friend of a etc is never around to pass your car.

not really a mod, but I was fixing an oil leak, and found a pin hole in the oil pan, used a wheel to clean the whole pan up, put a layer of JB weld on the whole pan but didn't wait for it to cure, I was paying 5 bucks and hour for the lift.. so I thought it was dry enough and installed only to find out that I leaked alot of oil on my way home, tried to drain again in garage only to spill all the oil on the floor...

oops

in the long run I got the leak to stop, but I still need an oil pan... don't look forward to doing that job again...
should have just ordered the new oil pan then

This is a semi mod-
I regret almost getting my car tuned by steve kan, and making my friend take my spot. Was a complete waste of money for both of us. His engine is still fine after getting re-tuned so I guess it could have been worse.

When I was trying to get my car started after getting a shotty map from a forum member, I had a battery charger on my battery and it blew my e11v2. :/ But in hindsight it saved my car from the kan "tune".

I reget putting a questionable wiring stock wiring harness in my second NA-T swap.

Lol, I almost forgot, buying those ebay color changing gauges was fail.

I bought a used ebay style divided manifold off a forum member here for like 40$ shipped. Lol I wasn't expecting it to be very good but it worked for a while till I noticed slow boost resonse and all the exhaust leaks. (the engine to manifold flange was hella warped) 4 hours of me grinding away at it with a portable belt sander and it seems to be working well now.

Buying my T04S through cheapturbos.com I regret, they are just ... bad at life.

At first I wasn't sure if I made the decision to port and balance my motor but I am more than happy with it now.

Buying a car from guanico based off just the fact that it had a running RE in it was my most epic failure. There were so many things wrong with it I would get arthritis listing everything before I could finish this post. Lesson learned, it's 10x easier to start fresh than try and fix other people's retarded mistakes.

That's it for me so far, hopefully not many more to come.

a second set or fuel rails and injectors into the secondary intakes..... waist of money would have been cheaper and easier just to upgrade the secondary injectors I already had.

Same here, I got a new JDM motor and tried to splice it in using a 21 year old harness... nope... I had to buy a new one from Corksport and get Jason to rewire it. Helluva bill, and worth it, I learned a big lesson. At least I have a new motor and a brand new harness, lol.

i don't really regret doing the TB mod. I left the thermo wax and the dash pot so it doesn't stall everytime and you get the better throttle response.

I do need to fix my oil drain on the turbo side. it has a small crack and leaks a little bit. I am pretty sure you have to take off the turbo and manifold to get that one tho.

My biggest regret is removing the BAC and thermowax. Its a pain keeping your foot on the gas while it warms up or the a/c is on. I'm putting them back on, though.

Also, I don't know why the guy earlier said that a narrowband gauge was his biggest regret, unless it was getting one in place of a wideband. They are very helpful to tell if something is very wrong. In fact, mine probably saved my engine since I never would have noticed that was seriously low on fuel pressure without it.

LMAO

my buddy has a DSM and that piece of crap is down with just as many problems as my 7. And the DSM handles like a 90's sedan with way too much HP and wheel hop out the ***, while my 7 is actually fun to drive. RWD FTMFW

on another note, I also regret messing with my TB. I'm going to go put the dashpots back on now...
