most amount of people in your 2nd gen

I fit 8 average sized people
..well ok there was six average sized, one really tall guy and one small girl...
including me, into my 7
it was only a five minute drive and no one else had a car
on the way to the place i stalled three times, not used to so much weight in the car!
and my car doesnt have the back seats either.
i had two guys lay down in the back, with two girls on top of them, the tall guy sat in the passenger seat, and he had two girls on his lap, and then i was driving. well actually the two girls didnt fit on his lap, the girl closest to me ended up sitting on my hand while i was shifting.
it was a very interesting experience

anyone else?

i had a passenger and a fat guy in the back Thats all I could fit

And one time I gave this REAL fat guy a ride home. I think that beats every1 because he was all over the place. I had to move his gut, his gut was on my shifter, to shift! Approx. 400+ pounds.

isn't the limit something like 380lbs or something? I think I saw that on my door sill, I'll have to check.... Most people in my car: 1, me. But then again, I've only had it 4 days, and it has no engine

Talking

Mine was 4 in my convertible. One girl on the parcel shelf, and one guy and one girl in the passenger seat. The weight limit for my car is 300 pounds, and one of my friends at home that I gave a ride to outweighs that by at least fifty pounds by himself.

4 people for me also. Me driving, one person in the passenger seat, and two huddled up in the back hatch in my GXL (no rear seats). It was to get from one end of campus to the other, and we even passed a cop that was going the other way.

I also only had four, but very comfortably. Me and another kid in the front obviously, and I had the rear hatch open, and 2 kids sitting upright in the back with their legs just straight pointing forward. We were driving up and down the Myrtle Beach strip almost 2 years ago.

Ohh yeah, but what was your longest trip???

I had an extra passenger riding in the back of my car when i had NO rear interior, for 10 hours!!!

He was kinda sitting sideways where the storage bins use to be. It was last year when the dyno day was up at Rampage. We drove from Philly, to NY, then to the kid who was in the back's house in Jersey, then back to Philly, than back to my house in Doylestown (40min from Philly). All that including the miscellaneous driving for the day came out to about 10 hours.

I know you said 2nd gen, but when I was 17 and going to a party since I was the only sober one, I got 7 in my 80 rx-7

me driving, one on console, one in pass seat and one in their lap and 3 across the back

Needless to say it was a 30 minute drive out to the middle of no where Evenryone was walking a little funny but we made it

I know I wasn't there and all, but what complete BS!!! I can imagine 4 people and I might even be able to fathom getting 5 into a RX-7 but NOT EIGHT. Who the hell are you trying to kid? I can only assume you think that everyone on this board is a complete idiot. Don't insult my intelligence. BTW, the most I ever had in my 2 seat GXL was 3 (me and two friends both weighing over 200lbs for an hour long drive). and there was absolutely NO ROOM for another person.

i had 4 people in my 86 and there wasnt much room, and i think i could get maybe 7 ppl in it if i hand picked the ppl for it, you know 4 rather small ppl in the back one in driver and 2 in the passenger seat and still be drivable(maybe?) but 8 ppl is a little muct and still be able to drive. now if there was no driving involved then you could probably pack about 10 to 12 ppl in a rex( ive had six in a 94 s`10, 4 across and 2 ppl to the ceiling)if everyone positioned themselves correctly with some work

I drive solo. If friends want to ride along to see what it is like, that is cool, but only for a minute. Hell, I weigh 220, and that is enough extra weight thank you very much!

well good for you if you don't believe me. you didn't have to be a jerk about it. and no i don't think everyone on the board is a complete idiot.

besides, i have seven witnesses who can testify that it was the most painful five minute ride of their life and there was no room at all to spare. my seat was up all the way, and hte passenger seat was up almost all the way, the girls were 100-110 lbs (the small one was about 90), and the guys werent overweight, maybe that can help u fathom eight people?

in my cars ive had only 3 in the ones with no seats and 5 in my 2nd gen with back seats. but most of the time i ride by myself, i dont like other people to be with me either, and ive let only 1 person drive my rex, and it wasnt my dad, i remember when i let my dad drive my 2nd gen he blew the engine, no more of that.

4, me drivin, 1 passenger, and 2 guys in the hatch leaning against the seats and facing the back of the car, i hat to scoot up a little, but not too big of a problem

i could imagine, 1 in the passenger's lap and one more in the back, but i don't know about 8, but it does't sounds impossible

You'd be amazed at how many people it is actually physically possible to get into a car. There is an annual contest by an old pizza parlor here at my university to see how many people it is possible to cram into a VW bug. The current record is 17.

I had four. Me and a friend and two girls in the trunk. I was driving from temple to a friends house and on the way I caught a light with an new 5sp camaro. The guy was looking over and revving his engine with this grin on his face. When the light turned green I smoked him with four people in the car. It was great.
